Mayfair Rare Books and Manuscripts Ltd was founded in 2017 by Paolo Rambaldi, after more than 20 years working in the antiquarian book trade in Italy. Specialising in continental books and manuscripts from the 15th to the 18th century, with a particular focus on early printed books and incunables, Mayfair Rare Books is especially interested in works on science and medicine, art, and architecture, as well as medieval manuscripts.

Mayfair Rare Books exhibits at many of the principal international fairs throughout the year, including those in Paris, Stuttgart, Boston, New York, and London, and is a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association and of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, by whose code of conduct it is bound.
